The road snakes and twirls between cliffs and macchia landscapes along the most spectacular and untamed coastline of our island. The Gulf of Porto and Scandola natural reserve are classed by UNESCO as a site of world beauty. Daily bathing opportunities will make you forget how tired you were.
You will enjoy a week walking into the wilderness with the Sea, the macchia and Reef as travelling companions.

Programme of the trek
Level : Medium
Day 1 - Appointment in the morning at the bus station in Ajaccio. Transfer to Evisa.
The easy The chestnut tree trail lead you to the magnificent natural pool of Aïtone. You spend the night in Evisa.
Day 2 - You walk down an old mule track to the Spelunca canyon. You follow the valley all the way to the village of Ota. The vegetation changes little by little, from mountain to Mediterranean flora. You spend the night in Ota.
Day 2 - The path is used to seasonal migrate the livestock to the summer pastures climbed up the Vitrone ravine. The rock walls are eroded in amazing shapes. The Medeterrainen Sea paints the background in blue. After the La Bocca San Petrukbround pass, you walk down to the Bussaglia beach. You spend the night in a hotel near the beach.
Day 3 - The path winds in the heart of the maquis towards the villages Partinello and Curzu. Then, following the Linu ridge, you can see the gulfs of Porto and Girolata at the same time. You spend the night in a bed in Osani.
Day 4 - After the long hikes the previous days, this rest day is welcome. A short hike allows you to visit Girolata, protected by an old, small fort and to take advantage of the sea. This village is only accessible by foot or by boat, and it’s also the only anchorage place for the sailors between Carghjese and Calvi! Boat trip to the Nature reserve of Scandola. You spend the night in the gîte of Girolata. NB! No access to the extra baggage this day.
Day 5 - You cross one of the wildest places of Corsica. There is nothing but the maquis, the granite and the sea to accompany you throughout this part of the hike. You spend the night in Galeria.
Day 6 - Transfer in the morning to Calvi.
